Request a sample
The point of a sample is that you stop taking our word for anything. This page covers what arrives, what it costs, what you can test with it, and what we do afterwards — which is nothing, until you come back.
§1 · What ships
1 kg of bakhoor-grade cube, unbranded, drawn from a current production lot rather than picked out for you.
That second part is the part worth caring about. A sample assembled cube by cube tells you what a factory can manage at its best, under supervision, on a good day. It tells you nothing about what will be inside your container. What you receive here is what the run was producing, including whatever variation the run had.
§2 · What it costs
The cube is free. Courier arrangements are confirmed when you request, because they depend on where you are and which service you want to use.
§3 · What you can test on it
- Time-to-ash — our method, with our own figures. How long the cube makes your customer wait before the chip goes on, which differs by format and is a usage parameter rather than a quality one. Our figure for each format, the correction to the reading we first published, and what would falsify it.
- The sealed-jar test — our proposed method. Whether an off-odour is already sitting in the product or is produced by burning. The protocol, and what it cannot tell you.
- The coal-alone test. Whether the coal contributes anything of its own in the first minutes. How to run it and how to read it.
Run each of them on the cube you currently buy in the same session, in the same room, on the same burner. A figure from ours on its own tells you very little; running both side by side tells you whether switching would change anything, which is the only question that matters to you.
§4 · Turnaround
Dispatch is confirmed on request. We do not publish a figure here, because it depends on what is in production when you ask and on where it is going.
§5 · What we need from you
- Your company name.
- The destination country, which decides the documentation and sometimes the grade.
- The intended application, so that we send the right cube rather than a general one.
- Optionally, a description of the cube you buy now and what is wrong with it. If you have already run any of the tests above on it, send the figures — that changes who replies to you.
§6 · What happens after
You test it. If it does what your product needs, the conversation moves to quotation; if it does not, that is the end of it, and you will not hear from us again unless you write first.

Whichever route you use, send everything in §5 in the first message. It saves a round trip and it means the reply comes from someone who has read your specification rather than from someone asking what you make.
